Blushing clouds are real

Lately I seem to see it everywhere. Folks staring at their screens, oblivious.

Yesterday it happened. Again. I sat on a crowded train and studied my fellow passengers.

They were all staring sadly and darkly at the screen of their cell phones.

(Yes. All. Of. Them.)

I stared out of the window. Ahhhh. Clouds were busy doing what they are extremely good at. Delicately swinging, floating, stacking, clumping together, tumbling over each other and building castles in the air.

Stunned, I looked again at my fellow travelers.

Wait. Couldn’t they see what was going on outside? This traveling theater starring super-enthusiastic clouds?

Freaky. Inspiration was right above our heads. But no one was seeing it.

No one.

So I thought, this is strange.

Because…

For some time now I have been taking a picture of the sky from my bedroom window every morning. And every day I see something different.

I’m super-serious here.

I’m obsessed with what’s going on above my head. It makes me so much happier!

Silver gulls sail like tufts of creamy white whipped cream across the sky strewn with fluffy cotton wool.

A swagger-kicking cloud, averse to etiquette and rules, flies toward a fan-shaped neighboring cloud at a furious speed.

Marshmallow clouds in pastel colors, decorated with fragments of sunlight.

Watercolor rainbows cleave the sky like grand gates, accompanied by twinkling nuggets of stardust.

Good Lord! My fellow passengers – I have to warn them.

Uh no.
They’re busy.
Building castles in the air on TikTok.
Scrolling through their iCloud.
Their self-created atmosphere consists of annoying pinging, volatile dopamine, and digital oxygen.

Hmm.

Virtual pink clouds simply don’t exist. Instead, they’re scrolling live above our heads.

Anyway: You and me, we want to experience flow!
Floating on cloud nine!
We don’t suffer from FOMO.
We know that screens are bad for our mental health.
You and I, we’re done with the overwhelm, and also with these annoying sounds. We want peace of mind and to drink a cappuccino beneath a mighty, beautiful cloud cover.

Ok.

If you agree, look up instead of at your phone. Start today. It can be that simple. Heaven is beautiful. Moreover, there’s no copyright on it. You can take pictures of it, you can paint it, you can do whatever you want with it.

The sky’s the limit.

Sleep on it. Give it a try. Five minutes a day is enough.

You want evidence?

Let me show you:

I guess I’m a cloud-admirer in heart and soul.

After enjoying the outdoors, all I want to do is run back inside to paint this super-delicate cotton wool. To be full of concentration, and joyful too.

It makes me so much happier. You as well, most likely.

Do we understand each other?

I knew we would become friends!

It's gonna be a bright (bright)
Bright (bright) sunshiny day

And so it is!

Love,
Marenthe 💞
